Bard College Berlin is a private, non-profit, residential liberal arts university located in northeastern Berlin. With around 260 students representing over 60 nationalities, BCB blends a small seminar setting with a highly international student body.

The College offers two four-year undergraduate degree programs which engage students in both the humanities and social sciences: a B.A. in Humanities, the Arts, and Social Thought (HAST) and a B.A. in Economics, Politics, and Social Thought (EPST). Within these programs, students can opt to specialize in Art and Aesthetics, Economics, Ethics and Politics, Literature and Rhetoric, or Politics.

In addition to their chosen specialization, all B.A. students take the BCB core curriculum. This program component consists of six courses which survey the intellectual and cultural history of Europe, ranging from Greek philosophy to the modernist novel. Moreover, students have a wide selection of elective courses to choose from, in subjects ranging from art history to film studies to environmental policy. Courses are taught in English, though learning German to an intermediate level is required in the first two years of the program.

Students live on campus for the first two years of their studies, typically sharing a room with another student. The residential neighborhood of Niederschönhausen in the Pankow district is located only 30 minutes away from the city center by public transportation.

Apply by June 1 to begin studying in August 2021. Scholarships are available.
